One Water Gate, Three Metals: How Finish Changes Everything

Most fountain decisions are shape decisions - a sphere, a bowl, a column. With Revisage's water gate fountains, the shape is already fixed: a precise, perfectly circular ring with water running evenly down its inner face. What's left to decide sits one level down, in the material - corten steel, brushed stainless steel, or powder-coated stainless in a RAL colour of choice turn the same design into three distinct objects, and a fourth model shows the same water-gate idea also works as a frame you walk through.

One ring, three finishes

All three round models share the same technical base: three sizes (100, 120 or 150cm in diameter), a matching GRP built-in tank at a 35cm installation depth, an adjustable circulation pump with a 10m power cord, and warm-white LED lighting. What changes between the three is the surface of the ring itself.

Corten steel: the Design Gardenfountain Water-Gate Cortensteel Circle (from €6,819) ships pre-rusted - its characteristic rust-brown patina is visible from day one, not something that develops over years outdoors.

Stainless steel: the Stainless Steel Designer Fountain Watergate Circular (from €7,059) is made from V2A-grade stainless steel and stays cool and silver, without the corten model's rust development.

RAL colour: the Circular Water Feature RAL (from €7,279) is raw stainless steel, powder-coated in a RAL colour of choice - the product's own specification notes that further colours beyond the standard selection are available on request.

The angled water gate: a frame, not a disc

The Stainless Steel Designer Fountain Watergate Angled (from €6,839) abandons the ring shape entirely: an open frame in V2A stainless steel with a sheet of water falling beneath it. Its three models list a clearance height of 135 to 185cm - tall enough to walk through - at a weight of roughly 100 to 119kg. Unlike the three round models, this fountain ships as standard with a Wi-Fi garden socket and app control, a technical detail none of the ring models include.

Water gate fountain FAQ

Does it need a mains water connection?
No. All four models run on a circulation pump in a closed loop - the only connection needed is a power supply for the 10m-cabled pump.

Is decorative gravel included?
No, for any of the four models. Decorative gravel is sourced separately, per each product's specification.

Can I choose a RAL colour outside the standard range?
Yes, the RAL model's own specification states further colours are available on request.

Do the installation depths differ?
The three round models share a uniform 35cm installation depth. The angled model varies between 35 and 45cm depending on the size chosen.

In the end, the choice rarely comes down to the ring itself - it stays identical across all three round finishes. It comes down to the surface: whether corten's visible rust patina should match its surroundings, whether stainless steel should stay cool and understated, or whether a RAL colour should make a deliberate accent.
