The sphere remains geometrically clear from every angle. Water follows its curvature, divides at the highest point and continuously shifts its reflections, outline and brightness.
Polished stainless steel mirrors light and its surroundings with precision. Polished natural stone adds depth, veining and mineral colour. The same essential form can become a compact indoor water feature or a large-scale focal point in gardens and architecture.

Water flowing over the sphere
On many models, water emerges at the top of the sphere, spreads across its curved surface and returns to a reservoir or basin. Pump, outlet, surface and flow rate determine whether the water pattern appears seamless, delicate or more dynamic.
The sphere floating on a water film
Selected natural-stone sphere fountains use a precisely calibrated, heavy stone sphere. A thin film of water supports and guides it, allowing the sphere to move and rotate by hand. This principle is limited to purpose-built models—not every sphere fountain has a floating or rotating sphere.

Outdoor
Outdoor sphere fountains are designed for gardens, terraces and courtyards. Larger dimensions, weather-resistant materials and—depending on the model—a visible reservoir or underground tank shape planning and installation. Lighting is available on selected versions.
Indoor
Indoor sphere fountains are self-contained systems made for interior spaces. Proportion, footprint, water sound and the sensitivity of nearby materials are key considerations. Evaporation makes regular water-level checks essential.
Planning
A pump circulates the water. After emerging on or beneath the sphere, it returns—depending on the model—to a reservoir, basin or tank.
Diameter, surface texture and flow rate affect how water coats the sphere, how reflections move and how strongly the water pattern is perceived.
Only calibrated models use a movable natural-stone sphere floating on a thin film of water. Not every sphere fountain has a rotating sphere.
Many complete outdoor systems return water to a reservoir or underground tank. Construction, capacity and access vary by model.
The pump circuit requires a power connection. Illuminated models also need a suitable electrical supply for their lighting.
Lighting can accent the water outlet, sphere or base. It is standard or optional only on selected models.
A stable, level base, access to power and confirmed suitability for indoor or outdoor use are fundamental planning requirements.
