Stainless steel fountains made of V2A and V4A grade stainless steel are characterized by high corrosion resistance and durability. While V2A is ideal for standard environments, V4A offers additional protection against aggressive substances such as chloride-containing environments (e.g., near the coast or in areas where road salt is used). Our stainless steel fountain elements typically feature safety mechanisms such as bolted base plates or, in the case of spheres, a bolting system that securely anchors the fountain elements to the basin cover. Extreme weather conditions (e.g., frost) can cause material stress that may impair functionality; however, we use the highest-grade stainless steel—*Made in the EU* - and all our stainless steel fountain elements are frost-resistant. Corten steel fountains are known for their durable, weather-resistant patina, which provides natural protection against corrosion. However, improper handling or installation can lead to risks such as injuries from sharp edges or instability. Be sure to install the fountains securely and check them regularly for damage to prevent accidents. It takes an average of 3–4 years for a “complete” patina layer to form. If the surface becomes dirty, the layer may be “damaged” in certain areas—this can be removed, and the layer will begin to form again in that spot.
